How to Display Facebook Content

When displaying Facebook content on your Mediplay screen, there are two options.

Facebook Live – Displays the latest post

Facebook Post – Displays a specific post, selected by the subscriber.

Note: You must have access to a Facebook Business Page. A Facebook username and password are required to authorize Mediplay’s access to the Facebook Page.

Both Facebook Live and Facebook Post are available within the Social Media template category (formally Find Us Online).

After selecting your template style, follow the steps below:

  1. Enter a Name for your message (ex. My Practice Facebook)
  2. Click Log In With Facebook
  3. Enter your Facebook Username and Facebook Password.
  4. To receive a Code via Text Message, click “Need another way to confirm it’s you?”, then “Text me a login code”.
  5. Once received, enter the code, then click Submit Code.
  6. Choose either Save in Browser or Don’t Save, then click Continue.
  7. Click Continue as {Facebook name}
  8. Skip the question “What Instagram Business Account…”, by clicking Next.
  9. Check the box to the right of the Facebook Business Page that you would like to use with Mediplay Connect. Then, click Next.
  10. Confirm access to the Page by clicking Done, then Ok.
  11. If creating a Facebook Post message, click Select Facebook Post. Then select the Facebook Page and the post you would like to display. Posts with videos are not supported.
  12. Select the players on which you would like this message to play.
  13. Click Preview. If the Preview looks correct, click Save.

The media player is set up to check in with the Mediplay server every 20 minutes. Newly assigned content will be downloaded at this time.
